Hi Pihu,
Assuming that you belong to the general quota, a board score of 85 to 90 % would mean you would need a pretty good score of 200+ . Even though they say board marks count to only 40% , trust me they are the ones which will decide your rank if your jee mains score isn't extraordinary.

Hi Esha,
I can't give you a very researched opinion on this because my knowledge on B. Arch degrees is pretty limited. However, if i were you, i would prefer NIT simply because you would have an edge because of the institute reputation and an academically better peer group.

Hi Manisha,
For NITs, admissions are based on the basis of JEE(main) rank. JEE(Main) ranks are calculated on the basis of your JEE(main) marks & normalized board marks. Here the complete board marks are considered rather than only PCM.

There's hardly a chance! You need atleast a four-digit rank in Paper-II to get into a NIT.

Hi Sneha,
I have met a number of students who are studying biotech in IITs and NITs, who earlier had no interest in Biology. So don't think that there are no students who are going to be in the path you are opting. The curriculum of these institutes are designed to teach those mathematics students only and starts from very basics. But keep yourself updated as these curriculum gets advanced very quickly.
Doesn't matter. Having a chance obviously IIT for obvious reasons.
