Glad to inform you that yes, you can definitely get admissions in any of the NITs in India, as for securing a seat in any of the good NITs across India, one needs to have a rank under 7500.
You are having quite a good OBC rank of 1980. You have very fair chances of securing a seat in any of the top NITs across India.

There is no such reservation in NITs, but surely you will get home state quota benefits during jossa counselling of NITS. Please note that it is not valid for IITs.
