Yes, I think you can easily get a seat in NIT whether your home state is NIT or lower NIT.

Hi,

Sorry to say but you won't get any NIT with this percentile. You can only get a NIT if your home state cutoff is very low like Manipur Meghalaya etc. You can check Shiksha college predictor for this.

Sorry, but from seeing last year's cutoff you won't be able to get any NIT or IIIT from this rank, if you are from the general category.

Yes, you can get very good NIT with this rank and quota. I think you can get CS in lower NIT. You can get good branches in any top NIT.

Sorry, I don't think you will get into NIT with these marks, you should have a percentile above 95 to get a seat in any NITs

NITs are renowned for their engineering programs across various disciplines. The rank of 5800 JEE Mains might get you a seat in some of the top NITs, depending on specific NIT and the branch availability. NIT is a government recognised institute which might help you secure better positions in future. You must consider your choice on the basis of the branch you would persue. On the other hand IIIT Banglore being a private institue may lack in teaching infrastructure in making students industry ready.

Although in IITs, there are 2 seats reserved for defence personnel but for NITs, GFTIs, IIITs there is no quota for CAPF personnel. There are in total 10,006 seats across all IITs and Jee Advanced qualified total number of students were 26,456 amongst which CAPF sets were quite less but yes reserved.

With a SC category rank of 6000, you have a good chance of securing admission to an average NIT for the ECE branch. Typically, with a rank of 6000 in the SC category, you are likely to meet the cutoff requirements for ECE in many NITs. You are advised to visit: JEE Main Rank Predictor 2024: Calculate JEE Rank From Percentile/Score to check for the college in which you are eligible for.

NIT or any other Govt college with certainly 100% certainty in your SC rank of 69841 provides a good chance of getting into these college.

The NIT JEE cut off inclusing top NITs like NIT Trichy, Surathkal is 900- 60000. This year the cut off is going to get released in June so wait for the rank and compare it with the previous year cut off to get into any good NOT or Govt college.
