With an EWS rank of 57997 and a common rank of 377652, getting into a top-tier NIT or IIIT might be challenging, especially for popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).

However, you still have a chance of getting into some NITs or IIITs, particularly for less popular branches or lower-tier institutes. It's important to consider the following factors:

1. Branch Preferences:

 * Less popular branches like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering might have lower cutoff ranks, increasing your chances.

 * Consider exploring newer branches

To accurately assess your chances of getting into NITs or private colleges with a 62455 rank in the General-EWS category, you'll need to consider a few factors:

Factors Affecting College Admissions:

 * Cut-off Ranks: The cut-off ranks for different colleges and branches vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and the number of seats available.

 * Seat Matrix: The number of seats allocated to different categories, including EWS, can influence the cut-off ranks.

 * College Preferences: Your choice of colleges and branches will also play a role. More popular colleges and bran

Firstly, clear all your fundamentals about all the chapters in all 3 subjects. You should be knowing major concepts and their applications.

Practice Mock tests and sample papers- Candidates must practice more and more JEE Main sample papers and mock tests. These mock tests and sample papers will open the candidates to different types of questions daily and will help them analyze their performance.

Try to solve every question in under 2minutes so that during exam, you'll get more time to crosscheck your answers.

All the very best :).

A rank of 1788 in JEE Mains with a percentile of 74.15% makes admission to an NIT possible but difficult. The cutoff ranks vary across branches and categories for different NITs. The cutoff for popular branches such as Computer Science or Electronics will be high, while that for Civil or Mechanical will be easier to crack based on the category and availability of seats. You should be alert to any changes in the trend pattern as reported in the counseling process (JoSAA) for your category and branch preference.

To get admission to an NIT through JEE Mains, the required percentile depends on various factors such as the category and the specific NIT you're targeting. For instance, candidates from the General category may need a percentile ranging from 95 to 99+, depending on the branch and NIT. For highly competitive branches like Computer Science Engineering, the required percentile can be closer to 99, while branches like Civil Engineering may have a slightly lower percentile requirement.

With a 72 percentile in JEE Mains, you may have a fair chance of getting a seat in a few NITs, and this is not a guaranteed possibility as a rank around 286,000 to 322,000 corresponds to this percentile, and so the prospect of getting admission in premier NITs is impossible. However, there could be a possibility in lower ranks of NITs where cutoff is relatively relaxed in the case of ST students. It is advisable to go for counseling and explore state-level colleges as well, which would be more lenient regarding your percentile range.
