If you are unable to crack JEE and do not get selected for IITs or NITs, it is not the end of your engineering career dream. In order to have good engineering degree, you may try for BITS, BIT, VIT University, Manipal University, Shiv Nadar University, Tapar University, DTU, NSIT, NIIT University, JIT University etc. by participating in their admission process. Few engineering colleges under UPTU such as JSS, AKG etc. are equally good. If you dream of doing B.Tech from IITs or NITs only, you may evaluate taking one year drop for engineering entrance examination preparations.

Hello Pratap!
The admission into NITs is based on your ranks in JEE main examination. As you belong To SC category, your category rank should be below 500, so that you can get a seat at the top NITs in CSE.
You have to score 150+, so that you can easily get a seat at the top NITs.
All the best.

Yes, they do. Nowadays, chemical engineering is a modern trend and almost all the IITs and NITs offer it as a full-time course.

Hi,
Sorry to inform you, but admissions are not possible in IITs without securing a rank in JEE Advanced and JEE Mains for NITs respectively. JEE Mains and Advanced are excepted only in case for foreign nationals/NRIs which need to submit their SAT/GRE score for UG/PG course respectively. Hope this answers your questions.
Thank you.

Hello Ajay,
The cut-off marks vary from category to category every year. This time it was just 32 for SC but the last time it was higher. So, you need to aim of scoring more than 150+ to get a good NIT as per your caste.
