NIT

There is no sports quota in IITs or NITs.

IITs do not have state or non state quota.
The candidates are admitted to the NITs seats on the basis of Home State (HS) quota and Other State (OS) quota.
Under the home state quota, the seats are reserved for candidates based on their state of eligibility which is basically the state where they have completed their Class 11th and 12th from.
The candidates falling under HS quota can take the advantage of almost reserved 50% HS seats and the candidates belonging from other states or from union territories, excluding the home state can also apply for the advantage of almost 50% reservation under OS quota.

The selection for NIT is based on JEE Mains examination along with your board percentage taken together. There's no other gateway. You have to appear in JEE Mains.

It depends on the latest cutoff. Last year's cutoff for SC or ST was at least 49-50.

Around 250-260 marks are required for the same.

Around 230-240 marks are required for the same and you are in safe region to get ECE.

To get admission in NITs, you need to score above 200 marks in JEE Mains. IIT admission depends on your JEE Advanced score.
