If I would rank these two colleges (MNIT and MNNIT) on the basis of campus, hostel life, placements, faculty, and infrastructure, then I would suggest you MNNIT.
As for MNNIT - Allahabad, from what I know from my friends who went there, it's great for someone interested in the core branch as well as the teachers being so supportive for someone pursuing his/her passions.

Following are best engineering institutions for B.Tech CSE after IITs & NITs: BITS Pilani, DTU Delhi, NSIT Delhi, Anna University - Chennai, Jadavapur University, Thapar University, VJTI and IIITs. Some of the colleges have better ranking placement in comparison to new NNIs & NITs.

Hello Chintan,
Unfortunately, its not possible to predict, even giving approx value is not possible:
1) Depends upon The way normalisation goes.
2) It varies for different NIT's.
3) Depends upon 'home state' or 'other state'.
4) The official cutoff for participating in counselling is pretty low, and that never assures your chances, All depends on "counselling" process.
All the best.

It is really a reputed college, it comes in league with IIT and top NITs and is "An Institute of National Importance" and is second oldest college of the nation. It has recently got IIEST tag and carries a tag of "Indian Institute". The placements are rising with a great pace. The reason for low cutoff is because it has dual degree course only and it is not that much famous outside WB.

Yes, you can but you have to clear the first stage of JEE, i.e. JEE mains to get admission in any of the NIT. You can also get admission through other entrance exams such as NATA, NIFT, etc.

Yes, as in 2016 there is a 40:60 ratio in board and JEE mains respectively. So, if you have good marks then you can get admission.
