To get admission into any NIT for engineering or architecture you need to write JEE main exam only.
For engineering you need to write JEE main paper 1 and for architecture paper 2.
Only if you have a good score and a top rank you can get NIT, Trichy or else you can get other NITs or GFTIs for architecture.
For architecture in IITs there is a different process.

No, your score in JEE is quite less to get admission in NIT Trichy, so I would suggest you to take admission in some other private college.

As I student of NIT-Trichy, I can tell you that there are good placement and higher studies opportunities for chemical engineering in NIT-Trichy. Also, IIIT-Allahabad is a reputed college too. SSN is the best college for you based on the cut-off marks as 40% of seats are filled and the remaining will be filled by the entrance exam conducted by management. Your second choice is NIT but the hostel food in NIT is bad. 3rd choice is CEG and it is only filled by cut-off marks.

You need to score around more than 260 to get into top NITs for CSE and around 250 for other branches. I'm talking about general category students.
