Candidates willing to get admission to the CMAT, course must have a bachelor's degree with a 50 % aggregate. The accepted entrance exams for admission to this course are MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA, CET, and others. If students are applying through CAT, then study according to the CAT syllabus, attempt as many CAT question papers as possible.

The minimum eligibility to apply for DMI MBA course is that the candidate must have completed their bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of aggregate (45% for reserved category candidates) from a University or Institute recognised by UGC or AICTE. The candidate need to have a valid score card of CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT as well.

Candidates from the general category must have completed graduation in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. In the case of SC/ST category, there is a relaxation of 5 percent. Additionally, a valid score in one among MAT/XAT/CAT/CMAT/GMAT/KMAT is mandatory for final admission. The weightage is as follows:
- Score in the entrance: 35%
- Score for academic performance in Class 10, Class 12, UG and PG degrees: 15%
- Group Discussion/Personal Interview: 40%
- Weightage for participation in Sports, Extra-Curricular activities, Academic diversity and Gender diversity: 10%

Candidates seeking admission to PGDM programme must have a 50% aggregate in Class 10, 12 and UG / PG programme. Graduates with or without experience can apply. Even those in the final year of their graduation degree are eligible to apply for this programme provided their age is less than or up to 26 years during the commencement of the programme.
