Those who have a bachelor's or equivalent degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university are eligible for IMI Kolkata Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme. At least 3 years of bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, class 10 and class 12 school education is a must. Those who are appearing in the final year of their bachelor's degree are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria. Also, candidates must have a relevant work experience.

MDI Gurgaon PGDM admission procedure begins with online registrations through MDI Gurgaon's official website (mdi.ac.in). Only the candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility requirements shall apply. In addition, it should be checked carefully, as the eligibility criteria vary from one PGDM specialisation to another. - Candidates who are in their final year of Bachelor programme are eligible, providing they finish all examination-related documents before the month of September/according to their university's published exam schedule. After being selected, students will be granted provisional admission pending successful completion of the bachelor's degree examination and the submission of all necessary documents to the admissions office. To enrol in PGDM and PGDM (International Accounting-US CPA) courses, the student needs to complete graduation with a 60% aggregate. Candidates who are interested in PGDM Data Science and Analytics the minimum eligibility is Class 12 of Science or Commerce major in combination with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science from any of the Board of Education recognised by the UGC/AIU/AICTE. Furthermore, PGDM-Retail and Logistics eligibility is graduate with 50% aggregate and 45% for reserved category. However, for better understanding, students can check the table presented below:
