The PharmD is a professional doctoral degree covering Pharmacy practice, patient care, and medication therapy management, and was designed to prepare graduates for work as clinical pharmacists. The course of study includes clinical training, while also emphasizing application of tangible skills in direct patient care to achieve patient-centered health care outcomes.

Students seeking to pursue the PhD admission at Kaziranga University must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks or is equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 10-point scale OR a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent.

Aspirants, to be eligible, must write GATE exam. However, for final selection, the institute conducts a college-level entrance and also conducts a Personal Interview round to shortlist students.
