Students seeking to pursue the PhD admission at Kaziranga University must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks or is equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 10-point scale OR a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent.
- Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
Note: A relaxation of 5% marks or it's equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently abled, Economically Weaker Sectio

Some universities in India provide PhD for NET qualified candidates and those with an MSc qualification in Remote Sensing and GIS. Aspirants, to be eligible, must write GATE exam. However, for final selection, the institute conducts a college-level entrance and also conducts a Personal Interview round to shortlist students. In addition to this, candidates must have also completed their master's degree in Engineering/ Technology along with a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology with 60% aggregate.

Check eligibility criteria in various universities to pursue PhD in Hindi. Normally, a Master's degree with minimum 55% (as per university guidelines) is a requirement for admission into the PhD program. Your MA marks are 54%, which means that a few of the universities will have an upper cut-off.

Eligibility: The applicant must have passed the master's degree in the concerned subject with aggregate marks of at least 55%.
Entrance Exams: Admission will be done through entrance exam scores from a recognized test like GATE, CSIR-NET, or JRF, which is followed by an interview.
The duration of the Ph.D. course is around 3 years.
The total fee for the course is around INR 48,550.
