Definitely, B.Pharma is a good course to study. It is a medical line which is based on chemistry. You need to have basic concepts on chemistry. It is nothing but more about study of chemistry. It is very interesting course and you can interact many subjects like pharmacology, pharmaceutics, physiology and anatomy, pharmacognosy which are non-chemistry subjects and pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis which are by name chemistry subjects and food processing and technology engineering branch is a promising one. Unlike the core branches of Engineering and other popular branches, Food Processing and Technology is not very popular among students who have passed 12th Science stream. But it is a good branch that offers decent opportunities and career prospects. After Graduation, students may go for ME /M.Tech programme, which lasts 2 years.
Going for M.Sc. Programme is another option that is available in front of graduates. Both the degrees are equally good and have growth. M.Pharm in pharmaceutics is most valuable in India, whereas in the US and other foreign countries, pharmacology is well established. Recent Market shows that M.Pharm with chemistry are less absorbed in the industry than B.Sc Chemistry because in pharma chem., we are more concentrating on SAR of the drug molecules. Pharma-analysis is another important line where one can go for QA, QC, etc., and other fields like biotech and microbiology have less chances in it.
