No, the NATA syllabus does not include Physics and Chemistry.
The exam mainly focuses on Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing skills. While Physics and Chemistry are not part of the test, having a basic understanding of these subjects may indirectly help in architectural concepts, but they are not required for NATA preparation.

Yes, you can get admission to NIT Calicut for the MSc in Physics course with a rank of 1500 if you belong to the SC All India category. For this category, the latest round cutoff was 2724.
If you belong to the EWS or ST AI category, then you can also get admission to the same course. These categories had the latest round cutoffs of 1705 and 5765, respectively.
But if you belong to the General and OBC categories, you cannot get admission with a rank of 1500 up to the third round. Students are advised to wait for the later rounds of cutoffs to be out to see if the rank goes higher.

If we consider opting for research through GATE, then GATE Physics is ideal for careers in ISRO, BARC, DRDO, and other PhD-level research in theoretical and applied sciences.
On the other hand, the GATE CS is better for job-based roles, such as AI and ML, computational research and systems. However, if you are solely looking for research through GATE, then choose Physics for academics/research careers, and CS for applied computing and tech research.

You are not eligible for NATA with your 12th subjects (Maths, Physics, Geography, English, Urdu) because Chemistry is mandatory along with Maths and Physics. NATA requires candidates to have studied PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) in Class 12 or hold a 10+3 Diploma with Maths as a subject.
