Yes there are certain requirements of subjects for each course which has to be pursued.
These requirements vary from university to university and course to course.
These subjects depend on the course you want to pursue further. For eg. BSc Life Science requires you to have PCB subjects with one language.

So, there are total 30 chapters in chemistry which are divided into 3 categories i.e, physical (8 chapters) , inorganic and organic chemistry. For physics there are total 29 chapters from both class 11 and 12 and mainly chapters focuses on mechanic, optics ( ray and wave), electromagnetism, modern physics, thermodynamics. And lastly, for biology there are 10 units (38 chapters) in total merging both botany and zoology which focuses on diversity, physiology, genetics, cell diversity, reproduction, plant life cycle.
