Both the profiles are very good and different in their prospects. It depends on your own personal interest, if you are interested in humanitarian jobs you can become a cabin crew. And if you like some technical jobs than you should go for pilot Training. Also refer your pocket before deciding. Both of them are very different in terms of training cost.

If you belong to the reserved category like OBC/SC/ST then you can contact your community commission. They have schemes and provide freeship and scholarships to candidates belonging to their community. You may also do 'C' Certificate of Air Wing, it will help you in getting 40 hours of free-flying from any government flying club. Otherwise, the last resort is a loan from banks which almost everyone does

The minimum age to pursue CPL is 18Yrs. You need to understand that Pilot training is governed and regulated by DGCA and it is irrespective of the flying school you choose to train with. For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Further, you should be aware that you are medically fit to be a pilot, so I would suggest you to visithttp://www.dgca.nic.in/medical/m

You should see the BMI chart. And if it falls in the normal range than you can apply for this course. In any case you may improve your BMI if you work on your health.

Yes, you can do that, provided you have completed class 12th with PCM 50% marks, because this is the minimum educational requirement for pursuing CPL Training.
Your diploma shall be an additional qualification, although it shall not give you any advantage.

The salaries of pilots are similar all over the aviation market, it differs only on the basis of allowances that are paid to the pilots. Any FO can expect an initial salary of around Rs. 1.3-2.0 lacs per month. The flying allowances range between Rs. 1700-2400 per hour. Layover allowances are paid at the rate of $18-24 per day. So, for any FO who flies around 60-70 hours per month, the salary ranges between Rs. 2.0-3.0 lacs per month. For captains, the salary almost gets double i.e. Rs. 4.0-7.0 lacs per month, initially. This range includes almost all the salary packages offered by either schedules operators or non-scheduled operators.

Placement/.job depends on you. A flying school shall not provide any placement assistance. You will have to look at the vacancy notifications as and when published by the airlines and apply to them as per your eligibility. People have got placed within one month of getting their license and some others keep waiting for a longer duration due to unawareness or no vacancies being announced by airlines.
