Psychology is generally open to all faculties depending on interest, students from all walks of life. You can pursue it.

Nalanda Open University offers certificate course in child psychology which is of 1 year duration. Also Punjab University Chandigarh offers advanced diploma in Child Psychology. Psychology is a great subject. You can become a criminal psychologist or a psychiatric. Many companies also employ people with some knowledge of psychology. But, its scope is more in abroad than in India.

The eligibility criteria is different for each university and college. As per my knowledge, the minimum criteria is 50% in class 12th with PCB.

The eligibility criteria to get admission in BA psychology is class 12th with any subject. Psychology as an additional subject in class 12th will come handy, incase if you do graduation in psychology.
