The single best piece of PTE advice from real exam experience is to prioritise high-weightage, AI-scored question types such as Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence and Write from Dictation over the low-importance ones. Practising on tasks that contribute over 60% of the total score by using proven templates, maintaining fluent & uninterrupted speaking and using AI mock tests for practice is the fastest way to get a high score in the PTE exam .

There is not only one way to prepare for the PTE exam, i.e. to prepare from Pearson PTE books. In fact, there are many top third-party books which can provide great tips and tricks to ace in the PTE. These are -

  1. PTE Academic 79 Plus (by I. Ibrar)
  2. Wiley's PTE Advantage for the Academic Module
  3. PTE Academic Testbuilder (Macmillan Education)
  4. PTE Academic Vocabulary Workbook

Both online training and physical books have different benefits. Physical books can be good for focused study and note-taking, while digital resources (online courses, apps, mock tests) often offer interactive practice, immediate feedback, and convenience, closely simulating the computer-based PTE exam experience. A combination of both is often the most effective approach to prepare for the PTE exam.

Yes, you can look for official PTE practice tests on the Pearson website. Many reputable education platforms and YouTube channels offer free tutorials and practice exercises for preparation of PTE exam. However, some public libraries might also have PTE preparation books.

Yes, one can prepare for the PTE exam in just 15 days if they already have a good proficiency in English. To determine whether you have reached the required level of preparation for the exam, you can ask yourself the following questions after practising for 15 days:

  • Can I speak fluently on common topics without long pauses?
  • Can I write a structured essay in 20 minutes?
  • Can I follow a fast native speaker's lecture/audio?
  • Can I skim-read complex academic passages?

If your answers to most of the questions are mostly "yes", you're ready for a 15-day sprint.

Always buy books from Pearson official publication. Don't use random local books because PTE software changes often. Test books such as "PTE Academic Practice Tests Plus" and coursebooks like "Expert PTE Academic Coursebook B1 & B2" are good to improve you skills for the test.

Below are some of the best expert advices on how you can start preparing for your PTE exam:

  2. Prepare on a Wide Range of Topics: Understanding what is being asked in the question is important and answering it for any given skills
