Robotics Engineering

Educational requirements to become a robotics engineer:
A Bachelor of science degree is required for most entry-level robot engineering jobs. An undergraduate BS degree in robotics engineering, computer engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering allows graduates to work in robotic engineering. A Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is necessary for many advanced and managerial positions. A Ph.D is required for design and research positions. Most robot engineers specialize in a certain branch of engineering. Typical coursework for a robot engineering degree includes advanced math, physical and life sciences, computer Science, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), physics, fluid dynamics and material science. The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredits college and university robot engineering programs. To enter the field of robotics engineering, a BS is a minimum education requirement. Once working, there are a variety of specialties from which an engineer can choose. The application of robotics contributes to many industries.

There are two ways to join as a lateral entry student in PSG College of Technology:
1. After Diploma, you can apply thro' TNEA counseling, which will be conducted at Alagappa Chettiyar University, Karaikudi. Counseling call depends on your diploma final year percentage. If you received a call for the first day counseling or topped with a rank of at least below 10, you're almost have a chance to get a seat at PSG Tech.
Your final year percentage should be more than 96 if you're a general category applicant. For BC/MBC it should be more than 94%. For SCA/SC/ST more than 92 is enough.
2. Through management quota. Fees for this entry may depends on the branch of engineering. It may varies from 5 to 10lakh Rupees donation. Other state students can join with PSG Tech through this quota.
Applications for lateral entry admissions will be issued at all Government engineering colleges in all districts. During mid of May month application issue starts. For SC/ST student's application is free, if you submit attested copy of your community certificate.
