B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology is an average two-tier college which has a reputation for providing average placements every year.
One can expect an average placement of around 4-5 LPA and the total batch placement for the branch of automation and robotics engineering to be around 70%.
These are the companies that visited the campus for the placement drive for automation and robotics engineering in the year 2017.
Bosch, HP, Benz, Quest Global, TAFE, Infosys, Accenture, East engineering, Continental, Toyota Kirloskar, Applied Materials, Walmart labs, Informatica, akamai, Microsoft, Shapoorji Pallonji, Total Environment Adani IOC and KPIT.
The number of placements in core companies is around 5% meaning that only 2-3 students get recruited in core companies every year.
Hence, I would recommend you not to take admission in the college if core placement is what you aspire for. Also, you would be on your own for your placements as the placement and training cell is dormant.

Mechatronics is a multi-faceted field. It makes you a jack of many trades. For example, I have learned about motors, control systems, software development for making things autonomous, sensors and how to use them, electronic components and embedded hardware, kinematics, and dynamics of systems and CAD. So with this sort of knowledge, you fill roles where cross-platform expertise is demanded. A person who has some knowledge of other branches of engineering is always highly respected. You could specialise in control systems, and yet show how these can be integrated into the software side. Or you could propose how the control system can be implemented as hardware using digital electronics.
One of the biggest applications of mechatronics is robotics. Robotics could be a mix of hardware and software, like manipulator robotics, where the robot performs a certain task using hardware/ manipulators, or it could be highly software-oriented, like machine learning, where the purpose is to analyse data to make decisions.
