Hello Dhruv,
There is no particular degree in robotics. It will be like learning grammar.
Depending upon which area you are interested in, there are different methods. For example, if you are interested in AI and the networking of robots, then you should start with computer science or electronics engineering. If you are interested in mechanics and actuation of robots, then graduating in mechanical engineering will help. For medical applications, MEMS and NEMS are a nice domain.
All the best!

For B.Tech/BE in robotics, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subjects such as biology, maths and chemistry. For admission into IIT colleges, it is compulsory to attain high grades in the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE). Other entrances that you can opt for are BITSAT, All India Engineering Entrance Exams, and SRM Engineering Entrance Examination (SRM EEE).
These are the colleges where you can apply for excellence in robotics:
Anna University, ChennaiFaculty of Engineering and Technology, Jadavpur University, KolkataBirla Institute of Technology, MesraAsia Pacific Inst

Yes, the field of robotics requires a combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer programming/computer science skills. Even, if you're not employed directly in the field of robotics, with any one of those skill sets, you'll certainly be able to find some form of employment.
The demand for automation and robotics will only be limited by your creativity. Technological progress is about increasing productivity and that's something always going to be in demand.

Robotics is inter disciplinary branch of engineering, which requires mechanical, electrical, electronics and computer science engineers. If you can do embedded systems specialization after MCA, you can get opportunities to work in the field development of embedded and control systems software for development of robots.
