Till date, AICTE and UGC didn't frame strong policy on engineering programme through distance mode or correspondence. So, keeping the safer side, you should go for regular mode for and even for complete knowledge, skills and practical work that you would miss in distance mode.

Robotics comes with a Diploma and Degree course. To pursue a Degree, you need to complete your engineering first.

You can check National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, MIT, Caltech, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, TU Dortmund University, TU Munich to name a few. Admissions will depend on the university and also if you want to study Bachelors or Masters. The only common factor is that you must be academically very strong.
