The basic pay of RRB Group D employees is INR 18,000 as per the Seventh pay matrix. Candidates are also offered HRA, DA, travel allowances, etc. The salary ranges between INR 25,560 to 27,920.

Railways offer good opportunities to its employees in terms of promotion. Candidates joining the post of RRB Group D are promoted after three years of services through the departmental exams. There are no rules for RRB Group D promotion and increment. It depends on seniority and vacancies in the various departments. After not being promoted for 10 years of service, the RRB Group D Salary is increased with arrears up to the current date. The hierarchy of promotion of Railway Group D is given below:

  • Technician S Grade 3
  • Technician S Grade 2
  • Technician S Grade 1
  • Master Craftsman (with grade pay 4200)

After downloading RRB Group D admit card, candidates are advised to check the details carefully. In case candidates find any error, they should immediately contact the examination authority for correction. New admit cards are issued to candidates by IBPS.

RRBs also send SMS and email to candidates regarding RRB Group D admit card release. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. They need to carry the printed copies of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

You must not write the self-declaration paragraph in RRB Group D admit card in capital letter or else it will not be accepted by the examination authority. Candidates need to write the self-declaration carefully as per the format prescribed by the examination authority. The facility for scribe is given to candidates having a visual or muscular disability and the writing speed is affected by Cerebral Palsy. Separate RRB Group D admit cards are issued to the scribes.

The free rail travel facility (Sleeper class railway pass) for RRB Group D is available only for SC/ST candidates. The admit card for such candidates contains the free travel authority. Candidates are allowed to book tickets only on submission of the self-attested photocopy of the RRB Group D admit card and SC/ST Certificate. Candidates must carry the original SC/ST Certificate and one prescribed photo-identity proof in original during their journey.

RRBs do not send the hard copy of the admit card individually. You need to download the admit card online. After downloading the admit card, save it in a folder or send it to your email ID so that you can easily access it. Candidates need to download their admit cards online only. The admit card link is made available in the respective official websites of RRBs. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials such as user ID and password.
