RRB Group D

The CBT of RRB Group D comprises questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The syllabus is given below: Mathematics: HCF and LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Mensuration Time & Distance, Profit & Loss, BODMAS, Percentages, Time & Work, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Age Calculations General Science: Topics from Physics Chemistry and Life Sciences General Intelligence and Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Relationships, Alphabetical Series, Venn Diagram, Statement and Conclusion, Numerical Series, Distance, and Directions. General Awareness and Current Affairs. Indian History, Sports, Current Affairs. Events, important days and events.

Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. Clearing of such Medical Examination by additional candidates (those called for DV beyond the notified number of vacancies) will give such candidates no right to be considered for appointment. Candidates may note that RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.
