The basic RRB Group D salary is INR 18,000. Besides the salary, candidates are also entitled to certain allowances and benefits. RRB Group D salary after 10 years increases upto INR 25,000 depending upon various factors. Candidates' salary is revised on the basis of 39 per cent DA allowances and the salary after five years jumps to INR 15,000 at least, depending on their pay band and the city they are posted in. The salary structure is given below.

RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. Though PET/PST is qualifying in nature, candidates are required to clear it. There is weightage of marks for this stage. The final selection of candidates is done based on CBT provided they qualify PET/PST, medical exam and document verification. Medical exam is conducted by the railway hospitals.

The shift timings of RRB Group D exam are made available by exam body. The prelims exam is conducted in four shifts. The mains exam is held in two shifts. The details related to the exam centre are mentioned in the admit card.

Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are called for PET. It is mandatory for candidates to pass the PET and it is qualifying in nature. The PET exam pattern for male and female candidates is given below. Male Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes without putting down the weight

RRB Group D final result 2023 was announced on March 14, 2023. The final result has been announced based on the performance in CBT, PET, medical exam and document verification. The result has been made available in PDF form and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Those declared qualified as per RRB Group D final result have been empanelled by the examination authority.

The CBT of RRB Group D exam comprises four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Total marks allotted to CBT are 100. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, candidates are called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Those who qualify the PET are called for document verification. Final empanellment of candidates is done based on the performance in CBT subject to their qualifying the document verification and medical exam. Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria.
