Management courses should be based on your interest. Normally, management aspirants will decide what they want to become. So, check your interest, what you would prefer and based on that give priority to that option.

The college is good and the placements for marketing is good. There are a lot of companies which come for marketing in fact more for finance like SBI, ICICI prudential, Amazon, Tommy Hilfiger, Pantaloons, Shoptapp, HDFC, TCS, Cognizant, Novartis, Capegemini, ITC and a lot many.

Yes, marketing packages are the highest in the institute with the best of marketing faculties. The average package though varies every year, currently Rs 6.25 is the average package. Not the batch size but the knowledge each candidate carry affects placements. Such kind of environment cannot be experienced in any B-School in India. Large batch size attracts large number of companies visiting the campus every year.

Average package is around Rs 7.5 lakhs per annum. Average in hand is around 75-80% of your CTC (cost to company). The departmental wise average is not calculated but usually marketing tends to have the highest because of the variable component of the salary being included in the salary.
