The use of SAT is so important for admissions abroad because the skills it assesses for high school passouts show how they are ready for college admissions. Plus, the knowledge they gain is equally essential for universities to assess the readiness of applicants to attend college. Yes wherever SAT is mandatory, it is used for assessing applications for admissions.

There are multiple factors that help universities abroad make decisions about admissions for international students using SAT. Some of the key factors include:
- SAT score of the applicant versus the applicant pool score.
- Syncing SAT score with previous adacemic background.
- Based on SAT score assess applicant's analytical and problem solving skills (mentioned on SAT score report).
- Finally, if there is scope for offering financial aid, SAT scores may be one of the deciding factors.
Thus, these are the uses of SAT at an international level for offering admissions to applicants.

Since full form of SAT is no longer the Scholastic Aptitude Test, it is denoted as it is, that is, SAT. There is no other way of denoting the SAT exam. College Board also uses SAT instead of the full form to talk about the exam.

The ease of getting a SAT scholarship for studying abroad can be very subjective because it varies country to country, university to university and even based on the applicant's academic profiles. Thus, if the university you are applying to offers a scholarship based on SAT, it will also look at your previous academic year's performance and your capabilities to do justice with your education abroad with the scholarship.

Since Harvard University is a popular US university and also an Ivy League school, its requirements for admission are competititve. Also Harvard is a need based university, hence if applicants have a good acadeic background and get a SAT score around 1500 or above, they can expect to get a scholarship. There is no officially mentioned SAT cutoff, these scores mentioned are based on admission trends of the previous years.

Known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, SAT tested applicant's academic capability and ability to get into a college abroad. However, over time SAT evolved and it no longer only tests academic capabilities or aptitude for college admissions. Hence, College Board dropped the full form of SAT exam. Now, the exam is referred to as SAT only and without its full form use.

Yes, you must. Never make a second account. It messes up your scores. Log in with your old username. If you forget the password, reset it. The one with duplicate accounts are harder to fix.

There is no requirement for a passport copy when registering for SAT exam. Applicants only need to fill in their details - academic, coursework and personal. This is followed by optional photo uploading (can be uploaded later on also), and paying for the exam. The passport will be required at the test centre for identification.

Yes, the Digital SAT exam fee costs around INR 11k and above for Indian applicants. The fee can change as per College Board discretion. Since it is an expensive exam, retaking it should be considered.
