Hi Aryan,
I think you did not go through the university website properly as all the information is clearly mentioned on the website. NYIT offer BS in ECE and mechanical engineering, there is no B.Tech abroad, the program page mentions the SAT score is required. For international students whose first language is not English, you must take TOEFL exam. This is what they say 'If you graduated from a US high school or with a four-year Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited United States institution, then you do not need to take the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE exam. '
Here are the other URLs, you need to check:
http://www.nyit.edu/engineering/

Hi Srimathy,
You should always check the university website for the admission requirements. It is clearly mentioned that if you are a state board student you must take the SAT subject test too or ACT with Writing. Check this:
http://www.nus.edu.sg/oam/apply-to-nus/International-qualifications-admissions-req-to-NUS.html
And select the appropriate link. For you, it would be 'Indian Standard 12 (State and other Boards).

Hi Amardeep,
SAT is generally not required by Canadian universities and also the answer will depend on your profile, the university requirement and what you want to study. If you are asking for master degree program even then you don't need a SAT.

1190/1600 would be considered an average score. For most of the top universities, this score would be on the lower side. So, if you are considering taking SAT again, I would encourage you to do so.

Hi Aniruddh,
SAT is required to study Bachelor degree abroad in US and Singapore. Some universities in Canada too require. The benefit is that is the admission requirement in these countries. If you want to study in US you have to take the SAT and score well if you want a good university. A very good SAT score and help you obtain scholarship.

The mathematics level in JEE is much harder than SAT. So, your preparation for JEE will be helpful for the mathematics section. For English, you will have to prepare separately.

Hi,
Apart from the test mentioned by you, there is AP programme in which you can choose the subjects and take credits before joining the course in USA by clearing it with good score.
The scores in ACT, SAT or TOEFL/ IELTS depends on which universities u plan to apply. Higher the score, better are the chances of scholarships. For SAT any thing above 1280 is considered good.

Hi Arvind,
SAT basically comprises of high school topics (Reading, writing, maths and optional essays). Get your concepts clear, practice a lot. I can suggest you to take an external coaching , they will teach you short-cuts and time management. You will find a number of online practice tests on collegeboard.org too. Which class are you in right now?
