Students who want to take admission to UIC UG courses should have completed high school. TOEFL / PTE / IELTS score has to be submitted too. Whereas, for PG courses admission, a Bachelor's degree is required for admission to the University of Illinois Chicago. GMAT / GRE scores may also be required as per the courses. Some of the documents that may be required for admission include transcripts, CV, English language proficiency score, portfolio, etc.

As per U.S. News, the ranking of UIC Chicago is #84 in 2026. It is also ranked at #179 in the Best Value schools. In the National Universities ranking, this university was ranked at #80 in 2025. A slight decline in the National Universities ranking can be seen. But, still the university has managed to stay in the Top 100 Universities in the U.S.

UIC ranking as per the Times Higher Education world rankings is #201-250 for 2026. Whereas, in 2026, the rankings of UIC is #334. In the Global Universities category ranking, this university ranks at #261 in 2025.

UIC Chicago Laurette Kirstein Scholarship is a scholarship for international students at the UG, PG, and Professional course level. Students should have a minimum of 3.5 GPA to avail this scholarship. Also, the students must have completed at least one semester of coursework at UIC Chicago at the time of application.
