This is the common dilemma faced by students who are completing 12th. What option to choose for further education after 12th. Your next degree by and large will decide your career options. CCNA manages local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) that use Cisco routers and switches. This can involve setting up network hardware and configure network devices. CCNA responsibility also includes Network security. At the start of career you will be employed on network device monitoring. CCNA also identify and solve issues that affect network performance, which can require unusual work hours and overtime. At the start of your career you may have to work in shifts. CCNA will require continuing education and training in order to maintain certification and pursue more advanced Cisco credentials. IBM Mainframe courses offer opportunity to program on Mainframe. Course content is concepts on MVS, JCL, VSAM , CICI , DB2,COBOL etc . There is shortage of Mainframe programmers as Computer Science graduates want to work on new technologies of Java and Microsoft etc. Majority of training Institutes provide training on only simulated environment. If you plan to do Mainframe training select an Institute which provides hands on training on Mainframe. Based on your education, you can do both courses.
