As you have mentioned that you were doing honours in mathematics I will suggest you to complete your degree and then masters
And then you can start your career as a faculty of mathematics
Because you may face problems in taking admissions in reputed engineering college because of your age and gap in study.

Give engineering entrance exams like IITJEE , UPSEE , COMEDK , or other state level engineering entrance examinations.
