In the previous year, about 80% of the passed out students got placements from Sha-Shib College. Interviews are conducted, and eligible students get placements in renowned companies like HAL, BEML, Indigo and many other prestigious companies.
There are very less placements and job opportunities present in the Sha-Shib College of Engineering and also those who are placed from there are not in their core field but in the aeronautics branch of engineering.

It's great to fulfill wishes of your mom but a word of caution, placements in aeronautical engineering branch are very poor. Majority of students end up seeking admission for MBA or ME. Knowing your middle class background, I would strongly recommend that you go for aircraft maintenance engineering or AME. It's a three year course and good opportunities for placements.
