As the time is passing, the pace of Urbanization is also increasing which in turn demands construction of more buildings for residences, factories, power plants, storage facilities and lot more. So, as the demand for construction increases, demand for civil engineers should increase but the placement reports show something else. Most of the colleges shown lesser placements for civil in comparison to other branches. Even premier institutes like IITs and NITs faced the same situation. Many of the civil students opt for IT or consulting jobs as they don't get placed in core companies. But, only placements don't define scope of any branch.

The unfortunate answer is no branch is devoid of maths. Engineering is incomplete without maths. In every branch, most of the subjects will be numerical based and will involve a lot of maths. The thing you should do is try to find out that which branch focuses on what type of maths and take the one which you find easier. For example, I am in mechanical branch and it highly relies on differentiation and differential equations. For electronics and communications, you may have a lot of Fourier analysis and integrals involved. In the same way, some branches will have more focus on particular type of maths.

Some companies make the differentiation while others do not. Having said that, the difference in average pay for campus offers at top college and an average college would be somewhere around 30% and it will be largely attributable to different companies and different roles being offered. Important is to get an admission into a good engineering college, complete your engineering with good grades and a solid understanding of concepts and rest will follow on its.

Doing the last two years, or you might say the most important years of engineering in a foreign-affiliated university might be more advantageous and will give you hand over other students. Also, this will be a very high and a strong point on your resume. Not only for a CV or resume point of view but also give you a wide view of the engineering and the out world and how things work in foreign universities. Believe it or not, but foreign universities have better facilities and better labs than some of the institutes. If the university has the better labs than the ones where you are currently and have a good edge then you should definitel

1. Position/Job title - It is really important because this job title will decide your job opportunities in the future when you want to shift to other company.
2. CTC - Of course it is important. You have many expenses and a family to take care of so you need a good package. Out of job role and company try to start with a big brand name and then you can get good jobs later because of that brand name. I would suggest trying to find a job which has both decent job role and a brand name.

For NASA, you need to pursue aeronautical engineering, but most importantly, you must have following things:-
- Have skills NASA needs. Computer knowledge helps, but NASA doesn't use all computers and is amazingly computer phobic at various levels
- Join the Indian Space programme. Work on joint projects and in an exchange capacity. The closest NASA Office in Asia is in US Embassy in Tokyo. - Being an aeronautical (vs. an aerospace) engineer is tough. About "90%" of the aeronautical market is the design of transport aircraft of all type, and a lot of people regard that as a "solved" area which had many wind tunnels replaced by computers.

The college has a reputation maintained for excellence in the course offered particularly for undergraduate courses. The placements are higher in almost every branch. For civil engineering branch, one can expect an average placement package of around Rs 4 Lacs considering the placement record in the year 2016. Also, the highest placement package obtained by a student of the batch 2017 in the civil department was Rs 17.5 Lacs by VGN which happened to take only 4 students from the whole batch. The number of core companies coming for placements in the college is less for the civil department. The reason why I would not recommend you to go

N first one, at least one good company visits your campus. In this case, you need to make sure you are among the top 3-5 of your batch to get selected by the company. You also need a strong understanding of fundamentals of the subjects and skills related to the field. If no good company comes to your campus then you have to rely on networking. Start forming your network on sites like LinkedIn from start. Try and get internships from well-reputed companies. Perform well at those internships. As I already mentioned, develop your skill set. For example Auto-Cad or Solid-works for mechanical engineers or C+, Python for CSE engineers. Make
