In CAT, there are different sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal and Reading Comprehension. Each section of the test has a few important topics which you must cover.
Maths:
Students from non-engineering backgrounds are not too comfortable in QA. If you are not an engineering student then you must focus in this section to improve your score, which will impact overall MAT percentile.
The most important topics being - Logarithm, Algebra, Geometry, Permutation and Combination and Probability.
LR/DI:
Again a section where high-scoring can be done

TIME offers two types of course method:
It is basically full course or a crash course or both.
When there is a comparison done between both, it seems that TIME does not follow any fixed curriculum. Whereas, Career Launcher has its books published.
Either way, both have a strong study material.
Both institutions have flexibility in their timings but Career Launcher seems to have a personal touch.

Each section except Verbal Ability has 30 questions. The Verbal Ability section has 50 questions
Verbal ability section in IBSAT exam basically tests students written language abilities. To clear this section, you must follow strategies like making a habit of reading more newspapers, quality magazines, novels etc.

If you want to become professor or willing to go for research, you can go for UGC-NET and can do PhD with stipend. You can also pursue M.Tech by appearing GATE. Once you made it to M.Tech in IIT, Your career will totally been changed.

The straight answer is join engineering to feel the thrill. I bet you, you will get the answer yourself.
An obvious reason is that most bright minds are found in IITs, NITs, IIITs and BITS because one has qualified JEE Advanced (a big deal) and JEE Mains to get into these colleges.
