SNU Chennai PhD registrations are completely online. Candidates need to apply for the university-level exam on the official website of SNU Chennai and fill an online application form with all the relevant details. The tuition fee for PhD at SNU Chennai is INR 72,000. This fee is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Futher, candidates also have to pay for refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000 ( one-time) & admission fee (one-time) of INR 5,000 at the time of admission. The thesis fee will be INR 15,000, which is to be paid at the time of submission of PhD synopsis)

Additionally, the scholars will be provided with free shared accommodation in the hostel and Married scholars will be provided campus accommodation at a nominal rent. 

To be eligible to apply for PhD course at SNU Chennai, candidates must have a PG degree in the relevant stream from a recognised university. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records, followed by performance in other selection rounds. Aspirants have to submit the scorecards and marksheet of previous education for the verification at the time of registering for the course.

SNU Chennai PhD admissions are based on multiple selection parameters. In the beginning of the admission process, candidates are evaluated based on their past academic merit.
