SLAT 2026 notification has been released and candidates can now register for the exam until November 30, 2025. The application will be filled online at the SIU official website. Aspiring candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form.

SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

The SLAT eligibility criteria are based on two points. The first point is that candidates must have passed Class 12. The education of candidates should be in the format of (10+2) from any recognised board. Students who completed their Class 12 at an open school are not eligible for SLAT. The second point is that candidates from the general or open category must have scored 45%. Aspirants from the scheduled caste or scheduled tribe (SC / ST) category require a minimum of 40% marks to appear in the SLAT.
