At Manipal Institute of Technology there are several Extra Curricular Activities and Clubs available for the Students to participate in and enhance several skills. Given below is a list of few Clubs and their Activities:
- ILLUSION: ILLUSION, a group filled with never ending energy and boldness is the oldest dance group on the campus. Inspiring students of SMIT to dance and let it out since 2000. There are several Cultural Events that happen at Sikkim Manipal institute of technology:
- One of the popular among these are Annual Fest which is also called 'Kaalrav', which generally last for 2-3 days. The days are filled with several events such as sports, art, drama, etc. with a number of cultural events full of diversity and colors.

When we talk about Sikkim Manipal institute of technology, the food in the mess is much better than what you may expect from a normal institute. They provide healthy breakfast, lunch, also some amazing snacks in the evening and the best part is the dinner since it makes the best out of the day's which also includes Non-veg food items that are provided thrice a week consisting of Fish, Egg curry and Chicken each day. Also not to mention at some special occasions the food is made even more tasty in the mess. The best thing about the canteen is that they providing good service at an affordable price.

Some helpful tips for students starting their career at Sikkim Manipal institute of technology as a first year student are as follows:

Faculty is moderate but better than other Bachelor colleges in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Teachers are very helpful and the way they approach academically is impeccable too. The course curriculum is relevant and upto the mark for students. Undoubtedly, SMIT provides one of the best education in India. The faculty members are more like parents providing all sorts of help in terms of annual Academics and well as non-academic matters and activities. Along with the course curriculum, every department organizes numerous workshops, industrial visits and seminars to make the student's industry ready.

At Sikkim Manipal institute of technology there are several popular programs or the courses that are available for the students to pursue their career on. For all the first year students they must reside in the hostels as it is mandatory for them, however, the first year students who desire to live outside or stay outside under their own arrangements, they must submit a consent letter from their parents before the recommendation by the HOI and forward it to the director students affairs permission is also necessary for the students to live outside. If all the rules are followed properly the student can live outside the campus without any issues.

At Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology there is a 24x7 Health center in the campus which includes 05 Beds, 02 Residential Doctors, 03 Nurses & a medical attendant. There are also two ambulances available at the campus for shifting medical cases to CRH, the institute doesn't hold back at all for providing all the medical facilities as far as possible for the students or the faculty within the campus and takes the responsibility and the duty very graciously.
