Since the academic competitiveness is there, the applicants should have an exceptional background to take admission to Stanford. For UG students, the university has not mentioned the cut-off or GPA, still, it is advised to have a GPA of 3.9 or higher. Make sure to have good scores in SAT / ACT.

With an acceptance rate of just 3.6%, Stanford University is one of the toughest universities to get admitted to. Just having good grades isn't enough. Students must be visibly ambitious and driven, have a well-rounded profile that includes excellence in the areas outside academics, and have a unique motivation letter/essay.

Stanford isn't solely looking for good academic scorers, it also looks for people who think out of the box and have the potential to bring a significant impact to the world. However, admissions into the university guarantee eminent prospects, thus making the time and resources invested worthwhile.

From the available informations I referred, In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, Stanford University is ranked at number 6. This represents a slight decrease from its position at number 5 in the 2024 rankings. if you want to study abroad you have two options. one is select this university, or don't select this university. you can decide whatever you want. you must enquire about this college before taking admission .
