GPA of 3.0 in prior academic work is required for admission. GPA below 3.0 could be considered in exceptional cases for conditional admission to the College of Business. If admitted on conditional basis, students must achieve a 3.0 GPA in the first semester in order to continue the chosen study course.

A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in previous coursework. A GPA below 3.0 may, in extreme circumstances, be taken into consideration for "conditional admission" to the College of Business. Conditionally admitted students who wish to continue in the programme must earn a 3.0 GPA during their first semester.

The average duration of an MBA at SBU is around 36 to 48 credits, which vary depedning on whether one goes for either full-time or part-time.
