Converting GPA to percentage is essential for Indian students. Since Indian applicants score marks in percentage, they may need to convert their GPAs to percentage to understand how they can compete with other applicants when applying to universities abroad. This not only gives them an insight on their academic background but also helps them understand where they stand in competition with others based on previous years stats and trends. Thus, this is the reason why students may feel the urge to convert their GPA to percentage.
