Yes, candidates can change IELTS exam date if needed. But they must fill the Test Date Transfer & Cancellation Form and give proper documents. The request should reach the IELTS test centre at least 5 weeks before the original test date. After this time, no change is allowed.

The new IELTS date depends on availability and is decided by the test centre. An administrative fee of INR 3,150 is charged for changing the date.

To book an IELTS slot, you must keep some documents ready:

  • Valid passport – this is the main ID for your IELTS registration and on exam day.
  • Credit or debit card – you need this for online booking. Cash payment is not allowed.
  • IELTS Application Form and payment proof – only if you are doing offline registration.

Keep these things before you try to book your IELTS exam date.

The IELTS exam score validity is 2 years from the date your results are released. The date mentioned on your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is considered the starting point of the validity period. It shows your overall IELTS band score along with individual scores in Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
