Deakin University was established in the year 1974 with the coming of the Deakin University Act 1974. Deakin University was Victoria's fourth university and was the first one to be established in the regional Victoria area.

Acceptance rate at this university stands at 60% meaning out of every 100 applications, only 60 students receive an offer letter from the university. It makes it a moderately difficult university to get into.

Universities in Finland, especially research universities, are known to be very selective at admitting students. But University of Jyvaskyla is excpetion.

Its acceptance rate of 60%, is much higher than that of popular universities whose rates of acceptance range between 5-20%. 

Morover, both the Yrkeshogskolan Novia & Vaasa University of Applied Sciences (VAMK) have acceptance rates 60%, & 68%, respectively, per data curated from unofficial sources.
