The Australian Institute of Technical Training does not come under the list of other major and known universities as published in the global ranking. AITT is a provider of vocational education, focusing more on training rather than research or higher education, and therefore it is less likely to feature in any of the lists of major universities globally. Most international students in Australia have the right to work 40 hours per fortnight during term time. It's common for most of them to find work either in retail, hospitality or as tutors, though a great deal of competition goes with it, and this is why one should begin to apply early and with a flexible mindset.

The colleges applicants apply to usually consider both - SAT scores and percentiles. This is done basically to understand the competitiveness among applicants who have applied to a certain college. Also, admission committees understand where the applicants stand based on their SAT scores, percentiles and based on their overall application for admission.
