Florida Tech is home to a huge international crowd. As per the official Fall 2024 data, over 400 international students took the Florida Institute of Technology admissions. The overall international percentage was 11.2% of the total. Along with the international students, various ethnicities or races take part at Florida Tech including American Indian, Alaska Native, Black or African American, White, Hispanic, Hawaiian, and more.

There is no application fee required for undergraduate admission to the Florida Institute of Technology. However, the application fee for graduates is USD 60 (INR 4.8k). Students who fulfill the basic eligibility and submit all the required documents including official transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal essays, English language requirements, and more, must apply by submitting the application cost. International students coming from diverse countries must fulfill their English language proficiency by submitting the test scores of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and Duolingo. The minimum IELTS requirement for undergraduate students is 6 or above, whereas the minimum score limit for graduates is 6.5. Although SAT scores range from 1150 to 1330 for the middle 50% of admitted students, the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) does not have a strict SAT requirement. Scores in the 25th and 75th percentiles are 1120 and 1310, respectively. The university also demands to submit the transcripts from the high school attended, essays, and letters of recommendation, and fulfill the English language requirements to take undergraduate admission.

Students must fulfill the basic eligibility by submitting the official transcripts of high school or bachelor's degree. A GRE score is required for certain graduate programs and is not mandatory for all the courses. The GRE is often a computer-based exam that is given at specific locations across the globe. Paper tests are still frequently given at testing places in nations with potentially low levels of technology. After taking the computer-based GRE, students receive their unofficial test results right away, and their official scores in ten to fifteen days. Four to six weeks following the exam date, students who take the paper GRE receive their results.

The Florida Institute of Technology tuition cost is quite expensive for international students. There is no specific GPA requirement given for undergraduate students, however, the Florida Institute of Technology expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 on a scale of 4 from graduate students. Students must fulfill the basic eligibility including a proof of high school completion for UG and a bachelor's degree from a recognised US university or equivalent.
