If we look at the rankings, then University of Southern California has been ranked #25 by US News, whereas, UCLA has been placed a bit higher at #20 in its national universities category. Both the universities are prestigious and students with outstanding profiles prefer both the institutions. Although USC ranked a bit lower but getting into USC is more difficult than getting into UCLA. USC has an acceptance rate of around 8 percent whereas, UCLA acceptance rate is of around 11 percent.

It is moderatly competitive for international students to get admission UMD. The University of Maryland acceptance rate is around 45%, which means that out of every 100 applicants, 45 are accepted. The admission rate of UMD College Park places it as the fourth-least accepted institution in Maryland. At the University of San Francisco, if English is the candidate's native language or if the majority of their education has not been taught in English, they are required to submit a proof of their English proficiency as part of their application. USF accepts official results TOEFL,  IELTS and Duolingo. However, if the candidate can fulfill any condition listed below, they do not need to submit their English language proficiency (ELP) scores:

Courses in STEM field has also been ranked decently in the last 5 years. The Mathematics course was ranked at 35 position in 2022 according to ARWU Shanghai Rankings whereas Physics was positioned at 24th rank. QS World Ranking also placed Physics and Astronomy at 44 position in 2022.

University of Maryland has been ranked at 55 position by US News and World Report in 2022-2023 edition. It is one of the top public universities in US. Its Global MBA degree is placed at 111-120 position in 2023 by QS World Report. It has continuously been ranked among the best Business Schools of USA in the last five years according to Bloomberg.
