Established in 1991,  IMI is a private school for higher education in hospitality in Switzerland. The institution began operating at Hotel Waldstaetten in Weggis municipality with 55 students and 10 faculty members. In 1997, IMI launched its present-day campus in Kastanienbaum. It received the membership of the Pacific Asia Tourist Association (PATA) in 1999. IMI has authorization from the government-supported accrediting body EduQua ever since 2005.

IMI Switzerland has four intake seasons for admissions: Feb, May, Aug and Nov. It has no official deadlines and accepts applications all around the year.

The upcoming intake dates at IMI Switzerland are:

  • Nov 13, 2024
  • Feb 12, 2025
  • May 6, 2025

However, postgraduate courses do not accept admissions during all the intake seasons. The Hotel Management courses accepts students only during May and November, whereas the other Masters courses accept students during Feb and August intake season. Hence, students can apply to IMI Switzerland according to their choice of course.
