SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology admission to BTech and MTech is based on TNEA Counselling and TNCET entrance exams, respectively. However, for MBA the institutes accepts various entrance exams, such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT, and State Common Entrance Test. Additionally, to be eligible for admission, candidates also need to pass Class 10 and Class 12 for admission to BTech and graduation degree for admission to MTech and MBA.

The cut-off for B.tech CSE at SASTRA (Deemed to be University) are very high. According to recent reports, students only with 95 above percentile in JEE got admission.

There are a total of 60 seats for the MBA programme of SRMMCET. Candidates are admitted as per the selection criteria prescribed by the college. The seats are further distributed equally in two categories: General Quota (50%) and Management Quota (50%).
