In order to become an income tax officer, you should get into Indian Revenue Service. To get into IRS, you need to clear your civil service examination which is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criterion for the examination is graduation from a recognised University. The candidate must be of 21-30 years of age. See, at first, it depends on your preference and interests, but if you want my opinion then in finances go only if you love maths and feel good while solving it and if you love it then it is the best sector.
