The UGC NET Exam is for all those aspirants who want to become lecturer or researcher after pursuing the Masters'. If you want to become a lecturer, then it is compulsory to pursue Masters. To appear in UGC NET Exam, you must secure at least 55% aggregate marks in postgraduation. The difficulty level of the exam is quite high, but if you prepare with the best study material & with a proper study plan then it will be easy to qualify it. The exam is conducted twice a year. You can apply for any of these two sessions.

Yes, there is an entrance test. you would get the application form in the official website of the college. I guess it will be out by February next year, do keep yourself updated with the date.
