Periyar University is a UGC recognized university founded in 1997 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It has a grade of A++ accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university has 100+ colleges. In addition to this, Periyar University has a PG Extension Centre at Dharmapuri which has 9 departments. Periyar University Salem provides degree, diploma and certificate programs to applicants in PhD and PG levels. Yes, JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) marks are accepted by Periyar Maniammai University for admission to its engineering majors. Applicants may apply for admission to Periyar Maniammai University's B.Tech programs if they have taken the JEE Main entrance test and have a valid score. Students must have passed the 12th grade with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved category) in addition to having a valid JEE Main score.
PMU creates an admission merit list and shortlists students for counseling and seat distribution based on the JEE Main and 12th results.During the counseling procedure, seats are distributed according to JEE Main rank, programme preference, academic standing, category, availability, etc.
TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2023-24 exam session can only use the TANCET 2023 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2024-25 batch must appear for TANCET 2024.
Irrespective of the 2023 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2023 scores for 2024 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2025-26 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2025 exam.
