The UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is conducted in both Hindi and English languages. The question paper is bilingual, which means that the questions are asked in both Hindi and English languages, except for the Language sections where the questions are asked in the relevant language chosen by the candidate. Candidates can choose to answer the questions in either Hindi or English depending on their preference. The answer sheet provided to the candidates also has two columns, one for Hindi and the other for English to allow them to answer in the language of their choice. It is important for candidates to be proficient in both Hindi and English languages to understand and answer the questions accurately. Candidates who choose the Language section in a specific language, such as Hindi or Urdu or Sanskrit, need to have a good command of that language to answer the questions effectively.

Each section of UPTET Paper 2 carries equal weightage, and no section carries more weightage than the others. The UPTET Paper 2 consists of five sections, namely: 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language 1 (Hindi) 3. Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit) 4. Mathematics and Science 5. Social Studies/Social Science Each section consists of 30 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. Therefore, the total marks for Paper 2 is 150. It is important to note that candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify the UPTET Exam. Therefore, candidates need to perform well in all sections of the paper to score well and qualify for the teaching job in Uttar Pradesh Government schools.

The syllabus for the UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The UPBEB is responsible for conducting the UPTET Exam and determining the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus for the same. The syllabus for the UPTET Exam is based on the topics covered in the primary and upper primary school curriculum. It includes subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 Hindi Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies/Social Science. Candidates are advised to go through the UPTET syllabus thoroughly and prepare well for the exam to increase their chances of scoring well and qualifying for the teaching job in Uttar Pradesh Government schools.

The duration of the UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam is 2.5 hours (150 minutes) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam is conducted in two shifts, with Paper 1 conducted in the morning shift and Paper 2 conducted in the afternoon shift. Each paper of the UPTET Exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. The questions are designed to test the candidates' knowledge, understanding, and pedagogical skills related to the relevant subjects. Candidates are advised to manage their time well during the exam and allocate sufficient time for each section of the paper. They should also read the instructions carefully before attempting the questions and avoid making any mistakes while filling in the answer sheet.
